Reasoning behind this:

Many items do not drop very often. (Such as Dagannoth Rings) so their prices need to be buffed to encourage people to PvM for them.

Nex Sets also are no longer the best armor in the game, and therefore their prices should be revised to be lower.

And: Rares are rares for a reason. There is no reason why Drygores, which are MUCH MUCH MUCH more common as drops or even to get as partyhats, should have a higher face value.
